Hexavalent vaccines

4 Hexavalent vaccines are available, 3 of which contains acellular pertussis and one whole-cell pertussis. Three of those vaccines come in a fully liquid ready for use formulation, one has the Hib component lyophilised and requires reconstitution. Vial and prefilled syringe presentations are available. Only 2 of those vaccines are WHO prequalified (one of the aP-containing and the wP-containing). ^{Go to footnote 11}
