Evaluation

While the annual monitoring of six indicators through the WHO/UNICEF Joint Reporting Form (JRF) provides a general overview of NITAG performance, it does not capture the full scope of their functionality. To gain a more comprehensive understanding, NITAGs are encouraged to carry out regular evaluations —either self-assessments or external evaluations. The NITAG Maturity Assessment Tool was developed to support NITAGs and their partners in evaluating all aspects of the group’s structure, operations, and processes.

The Tool

The NITAG Maturity Assessment Tool (NMAT) is a practical planning, monitoring and evaluation tool to guide NITAG development and strengthening. It provides NITAGs and partners with a mechanism to assess the maturity of a NITAG and provides a framework for organizing and prioritizing tangible and achievable next steps.
