This webinar presents ongoing work by the World Health Organization and PATH to identify and prioritise combination vaccines that are programmatically compatible, technically feasible, and aligned with public health needs. Combination vaccines offer important opportunities to simplify immunization schedules, reduce the number of injections, and improve coverage, while supporting the introduction of new antigens into routine programmes.
The session introduces a structured approach to prioritisation, shares emerging findings, and highlights the importance of incorporating country and regional perspectives in shaping future vaccine development. Participants, including members of national immunization technical advisory groups (NITAGs) and immunization programme managers, are invited to contribute their insights on which combination vaccines are most relevant and valuable in their contexts.
Inputs gathered through this process, including a forthcoming survey disseminated through the Global NITAG Network, help inform future research and development priorities and support better alignment between vaccine innovation and country needs.
