update of the CAVEI recommendation on vaccination against HPV

On May 19, 2023, the MINSAL requested the opinion of the Advisory Committee on Vaccines and Immunization Strategies (CAVEI) on recommendation to modify the current HPV vaccination schedule, using a single-dose schedule in girls and boys of 4th and 5th basic year and to modify the current strategy of quadrivalent vaccine by vaccine nonavalent, according to the new vaccines available on the market. Through this document, CAVEI responds to the MINSAL request updating the HPV vaccination recommendation issued in 2012, 2014 and 2018 available here. To this end, the epidemiological history and the evidence on efficacy, effectiveness, immunogenicity and safety of vaccines available, among other background information.
