Abstract

The Public Health Agency has investigated whether vaccination against chickenpox should be offered as part of the national vaccination program for children. The Agency has concluded that the vaccination meets the requirements of the Communicable Diseases Act for inclusion in a national vaccination program.

The Communicable Diseases Ordinance contains 13 criteria that form the basis of an investigation of vaccination programs. This knowledge base is a scientific review based on these criteria.
