Abstract
  • CAVEI recommends that COVID-19 vaccines not be administered simultaneously with vaccines aimed at preventing other diseases and that there is a separation of less 14 days with them. In the case of extraordinary situations in which the benefit of vaccinating for other purposes overcome the potential risks of co-administration with COVID-19 vaccine, such as post-exposure or outbreak control schemes, the separation interval could be less than 14 days.
  • CAVEI recommends completing the vaccination schedule with the same COVID19 vaccine administered in the first dose. In exceptional situations, such as the vaccine supply interruption, consideration could be given to completing the schedule with a COVID-19 vaccine with a similar technological platform.
  • CAVEI recommends implementing the COVID-19 vaccination of the population in Chile in two-dose schedules 28 days apart between the first and second doses. In cases of delay in the administration of the second dose, complete the vaccination schedule as soon as possible.
