CAVEI RECOMMENDATION ON COVID-19 VACCINATION IN CHILDREN FROM 6 YEARS OLD - 7 September 2021

On September 6, 2021, the Public Health Institute of Chile ISP approved the extension of the range age to administer the CoronaVac® vaccine from 6 years. In this document, the CAVEI updates its position on the COVID-19 vaccination in children issued on June 30, 2021 during ordinary meeting.

The following is a review of the epidemiological situation of COVID-19 in children, Vaccine Safety and Immunogenicity Information, COVID-19 Vaccination Status of children in other countries and supply of vaccines. Subsequently, CAVEI raises its recommendation in the fifth point of this document.
