Abstract

September closes with the SAGE meeting held on September 23-26. The experts provided key recommendations on RSV, rubella-containing vaccines and polio to be considered by NITAGs. A COVID-19 position paper will be developed in 2025.

Mpox:

  • The Spanish NITAG updated the recommendations against mpox, available here.

COVID-19:

  • NIAC (Irish NITAG) updated their recommendations for COVID-19 primary schedule vaccination, available here.

RSV: 

  • ACIP  published its recommendations for Use of Respiratory Syncytial Virus Vaccines in Adults Aged ≥60 Years, available here along with the GRADE and EtR tables.

Influenza:

  • ACIP published the recommendations for Prevention and Control of Seasonal Influenza with Vaccines -      United States, 2024–25 Influenza Season, available here.

Healthcare workers:

  • The French NITAG updated their recommendations and obligations for students and professionals in the health and medico-social sectors and in close contact with young children, regarding diphtheria, tetanus, poliomyelitis, hepatitis B, Covid-19 vaccination. The recommendations are available in French here.

SAGE:

  • The SAGE met on September 23-26 2024 and the main highlights are summarized here.
