Abstract

The COVID 19 pandemic was declared by the WHO in March 2020, the first cases were reported in Bolivia that same month, so far the world has more than 179 million cases and deaths are close to 4 million, in Bolivia we have exceeded 400,000 cases and 16,000 deaths.

In addition to the personal protection and hygiene strategy recommended from the beginning and applied worldwide to reduce or avoid contagion, one way to stop the pandemic is mass vaccination of the world population. Reaching coverage of more than 70% of the population would be the goal to achieve "herd" immunity with which the rate of infection would drop to practically zero.
