Vaccination against rotavirus infection in the Swedish National Immunization Program – support for a governmental decision

The Public Health Agency of Sweden (PHAS) considers that rotavirus vaccination fulfills the three criteria in the Swedish Communicable Diseases Act necessary to be included in the Swedish National Immunization Program (NIP). This document outlines the basis for this consideration and will support the government’s decision on whether to include the vaccination in the NIP.
