Updated statement on the influenza vaccine strategy, season 2010-2011, following the WHO official declaration of the end of the pandemic

Statement issued by the French Commission of experts on communicable diseases (Commission spécialisée maladies transmissibles), on the proposal of the Technical Vaccination Committee (Comité technique des vaccinations - CTV) on September 24, 2010. Following the WHO official declaration of the end of H1N1 influenza pandemic, the Directorate General of Health has asked the High Council of Public Health to update the strategy of vaccination against influenza for the 2010-2011 season. This review has been prepared on the basis of epidemiological data updated from the Institute for Public Health Surveillance and Afssaps data on the regulatory status granted to monovalent A (H1N1) v.
