Abstract

This position paper replaces the corresponding WHO position paper of 2007 and its update of 2009; it summarizes recent developments in the field, in particular the potential of rotavirus vaccines to further reduce mortality by employing more flexible immunization schedules. All WHO recommendations appear at the end of this paper and reflect those offered by SAGE.
