Recommendations on the use of the new oral vaccine nOPV2 in the outbreak response caused by vaccine-derived poliovirus type 2

The CCVS recommends:
1. The use of nVOP2 as part of the outbreak response of poliovirus infections to interrupt the spread of cVDPV2;
2. Reinforcement of pharmacovigilance and monitoring of environmental and human strains in the short, medium and long term;
3. The implementation of an effective and adapted communication plan towards the communities, emphasizing local communication.
