Abstract

Further to its evaluation of intradermal rabies vaccination based upon global epidemiological data, reported experience from Thailand and India, rabies situation in Indonesia and global policy regarding rabies vaccine, the Indonesian Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (ITAGI) recommends: - intradermal rabies vaccination to be given with two-sites intradermal regimen (2-2-2-0-2). - anti-rabies vaccination method to be adjusted with the number of visits (rabies cases), whenever there are high number of visits >50 cases, - the immunogenicity study for pre and post intradermal rabies vaccination and CEA study to be continued, - the strengthening of post marketing surveillance.
