Immunization against pneumococcal disease in high risk populations or people aged 65 years of age and older

The Health Council of Luxembourg recommends vaccination against pneumococcal disease for high risk populations and people aged 65 years of age or older who should receive one dose of Pneumococcal Conjugate (PCV 13) Vaccine followed by a dose of PPSV23 8 weeks later. 

Based on current sientific knowledge, the Health Council recommends a booster dose only to high-risk populations with a booster dose administered every five years.
