Abstract

Since 2007, vaccine against HPV is recommended in Switzerland for girls and young women in order to prevent the development of cervical cancer and other diseases caused by HPV. Considering the latest scientific information, the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) and the NITAG of Switzerland recommend to extend the vaccine to boys and young men aged between 11 and 26 years old, preferably between 11 and 14, before the beginning of their sexual lives.
