Newly Established Tanzania NITAG oriented on NITAG functioning

Officially established in September 2016, Tanzania NITAG members gathered in Morogoro from 31st October to 3rd Nov, 2016 for an orientation workshop. Facilitated by AMP/HPID and WHO, the workshop addressed topics on role, scope and mode of operations of a NITAG, internal procedures manual development, conflict of interest management. Participants were also introduced to the concept and the methodology of issuing an EBR taking into account the local context of health system. Working documents developed will be endorsed by members during the committee first meeting planned for Feb 17.  The Tanzania NITAG will soon be called upon by the Ministry of Health to deliberate on the HPV vaccine roll out in the country.
