Abstract

Considering the update of the summary of the characteristics of the vaccine against Human papilloma virus, the CSMI issues an update of the recommendations relating to the vaccination against the Human papilloma virus (HPV). Vaccination with the nine-valent vaccine against HPV is recommended:

- universally, for girls and boys aged 9 to 14 inclusive, by 2 doses of vaccine spaced 6 months apart

- in a targeted manner, from the age of 15, for both immunocompromised men and women and as well as men having relationships sex with men, by 3 doses of vaccine administered at 0, 2 and 6 month.

Vaccination of the general population from the age of 15 is possible in as part of a catch-up, but does not benefit from the free program of State vaccination; from the age of 15, 3 doses of vaccine at 0, 2 and 6 months are required.
