STIKO resolution on the 17th update of the COVID-19 vaccination recommendation

In the 17th update of the COVID-19 vaccination recommendation published in Epidemiological Bulletin 3/2022, STIKO recommends booster vaccination for 12 to 17-year-old children and adolescents with the mRNA vaccine Comirnaty (30 μg) in a time window of 3 to 6 months after the completed basic immunization. The STIKO also recommends optimizing the basic immunization with an mRNA vaccine after previous vaccination with the COVID-19 Vaccine Janssen and here, too, a 3rd vaccine dose (booster vaccination) at least 3 months apart from the 2nd vaccine dose with an mRNA vaccine.
