Recommendation on nOPV2 vaccine

Based on the available data, the desirable effects of using nOPV2 during Polio oubtreak outweighs the undesirable effects. Therefore, the TITAG recommends the use of nOPV2 vaccine in Tanzania in the target population during Circulating Vaccine Derived Poliovirus outbreak.  However, active Adverse Events Following Immunization (AEFI) surveillance should be conducted during vaccine use in order to identify Adverse Events of Special Interest (AESI).
