DR Congo expresses the wish to create a NITAG

The Minister of Health of the DRC officially gave the agreement to establish a NITAG in the country. This announcement was made during the meeting of the National Coordination Committee for disease control held on July 24, 2015. Invited by the Minister, Dr Aristide Apologan, an AMP representative, attended the meeting. The EPI manager gave a presentation on the role and responsibilities of a NITAG and proposed a roadmap for the creation of a NITAG in RD Congo. Following the meeting, the Minister clearly reasserted his wish for his country to have such a committee that contributes to a better decision-making on immunization policies and strategies. He then provided instructions for the follow-up and the implementation of the roadmap presented by the EPI manager.
