ADVAC: a two-week training programme for decision-makers, including academia, industry, governmental and non-governmental agencies, in all fields related to vaccines and vaccination, vaccine trials, new vaccines, vaccination strategies and policies, vaccine-specific issues (including polio, measles, meningococcal & pneumococcal diseases, influenza, malaria, HIV and AIDS, tuberculosis, HPV, rotavirus, dengue & JE, CMV, rabies), ethical issues related to vaccine trials, financing of immunization , communication.

    Pasteur Institute Launches a Vaccinology Mooc


    For the first time Pasteur Institute launches a vaccinology MOOC, available from September 17th, 2015. This course is organized in 6 modules (downloadable videos) over a time period of 6 weeks. There will be weekly tests, a forum, discussions on line through hangouts and a final QCM test. Mind you the MOOC will not replace the standard face-to-face vaccinology course.

    The latest WHO position paper on BCG vaccines


    This position paper replaces the 2004 WHO position paper on Bacille Calmette-Guérin (BCG) vaccine and the 2007 WHO revised BCG vaccination guidelines for infants at risk for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection. It incorporates recent developments in the field of tuberculosis, provides revised guidance on the immunization of children infected with HIV, and re-emphasizes the importance of the BCG birth dose.
