    new Interim Recommendations on Vaccination against Ebola Virus Disease from SAGE

    Over the last four weeks, the Ebola outbreak in the Eastern Provinces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has deteriorated with a large increase in the number of cases1. A major factor in this rise is an increase in critical security incidents that have dramatically affected the ability to identify, follow up and vaccinate contacts successfully. This context challenges the implementation of ring vaccination based on the identification of contacts and contacts of contacts, as recommended by SAGE in April 2017 and confirmed by SAGE during its April 2019 meeting. Further, a potential vaccine shortage may manifest in case the outbreak expands further and/or is prolonged.

    Le Conseil Supérieur de la Santé (CSS) a reçu deux demandes de rapport consultatif par courrier, l'une du groupe de gestion des risques (SPF Santé publique, Sécurité de la Chaîne alimentaire et Environnement), le 12 mai 2017, et l'autre de la Ministre fédérale de la Santé, le 14 novembre 2018. Les deux demandes sont traitées conjointement dans ce rapport consultatif.

    Third Global NITAG Network (GNN) meeting

    The Global NITAG Network (GNN) meeting was organized this year by the Public Health Agency of Canada with the strong support of WHO HQ. This annual meeting brought National Immunization Technical Advisory Group (NITAG) members from across the globe to Ottawa to discuss the network’s activities, the barriers to reach the GVAP target and the lessons learnt in building NITAG structure and evaluating NITAGs.

    Quatre après la signature de l'arrêté du 31 décembre 2014 portant création, composition et fonctionnement du Groupe Technique Consultatif pour les vaccins et la vaccination au Mali (GTCV-Mali), le Ministre de la Santé et de l'Hygiène Publique a nommé le 8 août 2018 les 13 membres du GTCV ainsi que les membres de liaison et les membres ex-officio.
